General
Duties
Performs
duties timely and accurately IAW AFI 23-201 and T.O. 42B-1-1.
Adheres
to contract requirements, safety and health regulations, and
company policies.
Works
closely/harmoniously with other employees.
Specific
Responsibilities
Responsible
for technical oversight of activities of the Eareckson
Air Station (EAS) fuels shop.
Performs
fuel sampling/testing on a variety of fuels.
Performs
fuel laboratory duties as outline in applicable regulations.
Develops/submits
reports in accordance with AF/DESC regulations.
Prepares
fuel samples for shipping to regional labs.
Receives,
stores, issues and transfers petroleum products.
Inventory/inspect
assigned tanks and equipment.
Perform
operator inspections & maintenance on all petroleum
vehicles, facilities & equipment.
Operate
all refuel/defuel distribution equipment,
including vehicles as necessary.
Deliver
ground fuel products to varied base locations.
Maintain
work area as required, to include facilities and equipment.
Comply
with all OSHA/Del-Jen safe work practices.
Required
to work shifts, weekends and holidays.
Serve
as EAS Terminal Manager, as required.
Position
Requirements
Certification
from Fuels Quality Control course or equivalent (SEI 039).
High
school graduate or equivalent.
Five
years experience in fuels laboratory, AF fuel systems and
general experience with JP8 & mogas.
Completion
of the fuels accounting course (SEI 40).
Knowledgeable
of fuels storage and dispensing systems.
Must
be familiar with the properties and characteristics of petroleum
products.
Must
be able to perform mathematical equations to determine quantities.
Excellent
communication skills, professional attitude and appearance.
Heavy
lifting, up to 50 lbs./strenuous activity to include standing,
climbing and walking.
Required
to wear safety toe shoes/boots and other personal protective
equipment (PPE).
Perform
housekeeping duties in-accordance-with USAF/EAS
standards.
Ability
to obtain and maintain a secret clearance.
Must
be able to speak, write and communicate in the English language.
Must
possess a valid motor vehicle operator’s license.
Procession
of an unrestricted commercial driver’s license (CDL)
with hazardous material endorsement (desirable).
