Eareckson Air Station

DEL-JEN provides supply, fuels, transportation, and billeting operations at Eareckson Air Station, a fully-operational AF station located 1,600 miles off the coast of Alaska at the tip of the Aleutian Island chain.

Strategically located on 2-mile x 4-mile Shemya Island, Eareckson is a critical refueling stop for military aircraft flying between North America and the Far East.  The base also serves as an emergency landing airfield and a base for North Pacific search & rescue efforts.
